A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has launched an attack on Yoruba leaders over the continued detention of Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore.

Fani-Kayode, in a tweet on Tuesday evening, made a comparison between the Yorubas and Igbos, praising Igbo leaders for rising to the occasion to meet the bail conditions of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, when he was detained in Nigeria and chided Yoruba leader for being ‘docile’ in helping out Sowore.

He wrote; “If Igbo political leaders could come together and meet the onerous bail conditions to get @MaziNnamdiKanu out of jail why can’t Ooduwa political leaders do the same for @YeleSowore?”

“What is wrong with us? Where are our Senators, Governors and elders! Surely we can do better!”
