Some members of the Small Scale Women Farmers Association of Nigeria have called on the federal government to improve funding for agriculture to boost food production.
They say the World food day celebration nationwide should serve as a clarion call on the Federal Government to review its support policy to women farmers and focus on reducing the effects of climate change on their farms.
Some of them are calling for more engagement with women farmers especially those in rural communities to be able to provide needs-specific assistance.
