The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has said that he owes no one in the state or elsewhere any apology for appointing his daughter as aide in the state government.

Governor Okowa affirmed this position on Tuesday, noting that he knows the quality of his daughter.

He also rejected claims that he has two daughters and the child of his he appointed for girl–child education in the state is very qualified for the position.

Governor Okowa said: “It is not true that I have two of my daughter’s appointed. I have only one appointed and she is rightfully qualified.

“I do not have any daughter in social media. The one appointed for girl child education is rightfully qualified. I do not have any apologies for that because I know the quality of daughter that I have.”
