Governors under the name “The Progressive Governors Forum “ belonging to the All Progressives Congress visited the National assembly in an effort to build ties with the Legislative arm of government, following the dispute arising from the crisis which emanated from the inauguration of the Bauchi and Edo State houses of assembly.
The Governors led by the Governor of Katsina state Aminu Masari, paid a courtesy call to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives calling on the need to build trust, bedevilling both institutions.
Governor Masari urged all present to manage current political relations in the interest of the nation and comply with the provisions of the party’s constitution.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila also did not hide his displeasure over the recent court ruling barring the House of Representatives from taking over the Edo state House of Assembly.
