The founder of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Sunday, September 6, predicted that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari will not disappoint Nigerians.

Bakare made the prediction in his church in Lagos where he presented his ‘state of the nation’ address in celebration of Nigeria’s independence.

The presiding pastor, who was once a running mate to Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, reminded Nigerians that contesting for the office of the president is open for any citizen irrespective of ethnic background.

While noting that Buhari will not fail, he warned the country against continued ethnic and mutual suspicion.

“No ethnic nationality has monopoly on any of the offices.

“This is no time for mutual suspicion, there should be collaboration. The infighting must stop. Nigeria is going through a resetting on the path of predictable progress,” he said while noting that the country is currently underperforming.

“It is time to rebuild and reset and rebuilding has to be done zone by zone,” he added.
