The Nigeria Police Force says it will commence the deployment of technology in the protection of oil pipelines in the south of the country.
The Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu made this known as he spoke to senior Intelligence officers and Unit Commanders of the Special Task Force on petroleum and illegal bunkering saddled with the responsibility of protecting the nation’s pipelines especially in the South of the country.
The IG while urging them to imbibe interagency cooperation, partnership with the host communities, NNPC and other stakeholders also tasked them to maintain the highest level of professionalism by being firm in their enforcement operations while also shunning corruption.
