6 Nigerian Students expected to represent Nigeria at the Africa Robotics Challenge in South Africa have recently cancelled their trip due to safety concerns.
The students announced the cancellation yesterday at a media briefing after the organisers failed to guarantee their safety during the course of the competition.
The National Coordinator and organiser, Mrs Remi Willoughby also confirmed the news as she had been informed that sufficient security was not guaranteed and furthermore, the participants will not be able to sight-see throughout the competition.
The event organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC)
