Egyptians demand removal of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Angry Protest

Thousands of Egyptians have staged a protest across several cities to demand the resignation of the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The protests begun after a self-exiled businessman Mohammed Ali accused the Egyptian President of corruption and incited people to protest for his removal.

Ali began to post as far back as September 2, encouraging people to rise up and continue to demand their rights.

The protests which took place in the city’s capital has protesters chanting ‘Sisi must go’ late last night. The Police have made some arrests as unauthorised demonstrations were outlawed in Egypt as far back as 2013 after el-Sisi overthrew Mohamed Morsi as president.

The rare display of courage by the Egyptians have been described as unexpected, however, an associate professor at the Long Island.
