The ECOWAS Parliament has called for a lasting solution to conflicts caused by Transhumance migration known locally as herdsmen-farmers clashes.
The speaker of the Parliament Moustapha Cisse-Lo at the ECOWAS parliamentarians seminar on Transhumance and intercommunity conflicts in the region holding in Monrovia Liberia says efforts must be in place to curb the escalating conflicts within the region.
Mr Cisse-Lo while blaming the conflicts on the handiwork of terrorists who are taking advantage of the ECOWAS free movement protocol, tasked stakeholders to find lasting solutions to the crisis.
