Gareth Thomas, the former Wales Rugby captain has in a video revealed that he has tested positive to HIV and lives with the disease.
According to Gareth, he decided to share his secret with the world to reduce the stigma surrounding the disease and to come out of the shame and fear that has kept him quiet for so long.
Gareth confesses to having had suicidal thoughts and once considered taking his life. He further shares that people living with HIV/AIDS can now live full longer lives due to advanced medicine.
