The Federal Government has pledged to support any initiative that will bring lasting peace between Tiv and Jukun communities in Benue and Taraba states.
The Secretary to the government of the federation Boss Mustapha while dialoguing with political and traditional rulers in the two states including their governors in Abuja, as they met to discuss ways aimed at ending the conflict urged them to become ambassadors of peace in their communities.
Mr Mustapha assured that government will work with any resolution adopted by the leaders as a roadmap to ensuring lasting peace and the protection of lives and property. Watch the videos for a back story on the crisis.
