Xenophobia: MTN Nigeria announces the closure of all Branches

Following the mass destruction and looting of South African owned/affiliated companies in Nigeria, MTN has released a public statement disclosing that their multiple locations across the country will cease operation.

A substantial number of Nigerians have taken to multiple South African companies, destroying and looting goods in retaliation to the multiple and routine news of the murder of Nigerians living in South Africa.

Although in the statement, the telecommunications company committed to uninterrupted services they, however, announced that the safety and security of their stakeholders is paramount.
