The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is scheduled to undergo reconstruction starting today, September 2 to run till October 31. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has released guidelines on alternative routes so that commuters are not adversely affected.
The LASTMA authorities have identified that the Kara Bridge INW Berger bridge, to and fro will be affected and as such released the following as alternative routes.
Directives for coming towards Lagos
Movement from Kara Bridge INW Berger will be sealed off.
Traffic will be diverted into the Road going out of Lagos
The road will be diverted into two lanes both ways
Traffic will then be diverted back into the road going INW
Normal Journey towards Lagos resumes at the Berger Intersection linking the River Valley Estate
Directives for Leaving Lagos
Road will be divided into two lanes both ways from the intersection linking Isheri/Olowora to Kara Bridge where the road division ends.
Normal journey resumed inward Sagamu.
