The United States Justice Department has opposed a bid from technology giants such as Facebook, Alphabet and a Chinese Counterpart to build and establish underwater internet cabling due to National Security reasons.
The project running up to $300 Million in costs is supposed to move internet data across the pacific ocean granting access to Africa and Asian Datacenters improving accessibility and connectivity.
The officials have now put a stop to the project after 8000 miles of fibre optic cables have been laid around the pacific denying them licenses citing national security reasons.
