Broadcasters and Information experts have tasked the Federal Government to be more open and transparent to the media.
This was at the fifth annual lecture of the National Broadcasting Commission in Abuja.
They say unhindered access to information by media houses nationwide will help curb fake news and eliminate hate speeches.
They also criticized the use of foreign media by government officials to disseminate information expected for the public.
