The Nigerian Union of Teachers NUT has dismissed claims that teachers should be held responsible for the falling standards of education nationwide.
The National President of the NUT Mohammed Idris spoke in Kaduna the Kaduna state capital at the union’s sixth quadrennial and twelfth state Delegates Conference.
Mr Idris who was represented by the National Vice President Kelvin Nwakwo says the government should bear the brunt of the blame as they have refused to provide much-needed infrastructure and learning aids in schools nationwide.
