On May 22, 2017, there was a suicide bombing attack in the Manchester Arena, England just a few minutes after a concert by Ariana Grande. The terrible attack claimed the lives of 22 people and 139 were wounded.
The “Thank you next” singer was heartbroken as some of the people that died were her fans or parents of her fans. Afterwards- a few months later- she organized a benefit concert in Manchester and raised over 3 million dollars. She was joined by other celebrities like Justin Bieber amidst others and ever since then she has not stepped foot in that area.
But the superstar has a lot of love and a deep bond with her Manchester fans, she alongside other celebrities performed at the Manchester pride Festival on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
She headlined the festival and performed with other artists and the audience enjoyed the festival. She also highlighted how important the gay community was to her and told the audience that she was very happy to be with them.
Some of the songs she performed include some of her top tracks from the Sweetener Album like “No Tears Left to Cry” and from her Thank You Next album, “7 rings”, amongst other hits.
