A lot of countries have been testing missiles in recent times including Russia, North Korea, Iran and China which has garnered a lot of controversy and anxiety globally.

Well, the United States has followed suit after it began a cruise missile test a few weeks after the capital Washington withdrew from the missile control treaty that may have barred the test launch.

Russia and China are not very happy about this suggesting that this cruise missile test will renew the arms race which was grounded due to the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty signed in 1987.

Recall that the United States also withdrew from the Iran Nuclear Deal which had Iran tipping their Nuclear activities in clear disregard for the agreement despite other participating countries.

With China testing Anti-Ship Missiles in the South China Sea, and North Korea testing Multiple ballistic Missiles despite a ban due to the UN Security Council restrictions.

It appears the U.S is gearing for a possible battle should anything come up. However, Russia and China have both requested a meeting with the UN Security Council today to chart a path going forward based on the statement released by the United States to develop and deploy medium-range missiles
