The Morogoro municipality in Tanzania is currently in a state of mourning as the death count of people who were victims of a fuel tanker explosion in the region last Saturday has hit 71.
The Prime Minister, Kas-sim Majaliwa led mourners at the burial service of the people who lost their lives trying to syphon fuel off a crashed fuel tanker which eventually exploded leaving them burnt without recognition.
59 victims are currently nursing their wounds according to an official statement with 43 of those admitted to the Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) in Dar es Salaam and the rest at the Morogoro referral hospital.
The Premier visited 16 victims yesterday who were receiving treatment at the Morogoro hospital where he reportedly affirmed that the victims will get the best possible medical care till they can resume their daily activities.
He also urged citizens to donate blood to avail for victims of the accident who have suffered the unfortunate incident.
