No less than 195 firms either fully owned or co-owned by the government will be sold between 2019 – 2022 as a Part of the Privatization Programme ongoing in Angola, according to the State Gazette.
175 firms are to be sold in a tender while the remaining 11 will be auctioned off in securities exchange and the remaining 9 through Initial Public Offerings (IPO).
Notable firms such as Aldeia Nova, Niocom, Textang II, Satec and Africa Textil will be part of the privatization process.
Other firms included in the privatization process are the telecommunication firm Unitel, MS Telecom, Net One, Multitel, Angola Telecom, Angola TV Cables, Angola Cables,(ENCTA) mails firm, Angola Communication and Systems (ACS) and Telephone list firm (ELTA).
