Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Thursday pledged to continue payment of full salaries to all levels of workers.
The Governor, however, demanded from them, dedication to bring about, an all round growth and development in the state.
Oyetola also assured them of prompt promotions, as well as training and retraining for effective and efficient service delivery as part of efforts to motivate them to give their best.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ismail Omipidan, said Oyetola spoke during the swearing-in of Mr. Wahab Adewoyin, who is the Executive Secretary of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, as a Permanent Secretary.
Oyetola promised workers that his government would reward civil servants found to be diligent, loyal and committed to duties.
He said more permanent secretaries would soon be appointed, and noted that the appointment of Adewoyin as Permanent Secretary was a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to rewarding hard work.
Oyetola said, “To us as a government, we shall continue to champion things that can make life abundant, meaningful and rewarding for every citizen, especially the workforce.
“We will continue to ensure the payment of full salaries to all levels of workers, we will continue to ensure prompt promotions as well as encourage workers’ training and retraining for effective and efficient service delivery,” Oyetola added.
