Following an exparte application by the EFCC, a Federal High Court, Lagos Division has ordered that 3 accounts of former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is frozen over an alleged 9.9 billion fraud.
The EFCC claims the 9.9 Billion was remitted from the state government’s account into the FCMB account which was managed by the permanent secretary within the Office of the Chief of Staff to the now-former Governor.
The EFCC has requested the accounts are frozen until their investigations run its due course as based on intelligence, the EFCC after analysis found the account worthy of investigation.
