Today, the planned date for the Days of Rage campaign seems to be experiencing a no-show as the National Stadium has been heavily booted with security personnel.
The convener of the move, Omoyele Sowore was arrested the early hours of Saturday morning, on crimes that have been described by the DSS as an insurrection and a forceful takeover of Government according to Nnochirionye Afunanya.
The former presidential aspirant from the AAC had expressed frustrations on the present circumstances within the country and urged like minded citizens to come out in their numbers wearing orange clothing items in a movement titled ‘Days of Rage’.
The Police also released a statement expressing how the planned movement is a treasonable offence punishable by law. Meanwhile, all hands are on deck to see how Omoyele’s supporters will react to the current status quo.
Although many have taken to several social media platforms to demand his release and express dissatisfaction, as of the time of this writing, nothing is amiss at the stadium except for the presence of heavy security detail with no entry or exit from the building allowed. See photos below
