The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, says his successor should be principled, bold, courageous, and have the fear of God; enough to protect the collective interests of the Ijaw nation at all times.
Governor Dickson, who made the comment while fielding questions from journalists during a live media chat on Sunday in Yenagoa, also noted that Bayelsa cannot afford to have what he described as an establishment errand boy as governor.
According to him, the next governor must be God-fearing and have a clear agenda to serve the people of Bayelsa and by extension, the Ijaw nation with a sense of humility and compassion
The Governor also sued for peace and team work among aspirants to avoid every form of rancor and accept the outcome of the primaries.
