The Adamawa State Police command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect Saidu Daniya who attempted to slit the throat of his ten-year-old daughter Zahrah Daniya.
The state Police public relations officer DSP Suleiman Yahaya says the incident occurred at Damare Inji Uku ward of Yola South local government area of the state and the suspect is in police custody.
He disclosed that ten-year-old Zahrah Daniya has been admitted at the intensive care unit of the Federal medical centre in Yola and is battling to save her life.
DSP Yahaya also adds that the suspect Saidu Daniya who also happens to be the father of the victim will face the full wrath of the law.
