Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group and one of Africa’s richest men has fulfilled his promise to award the Super Eagles $50,000 for every goal scored in the AFCON semi-final game against Algeria.
The NFF took to twitter to disclose the news stating that the cash prize was presented by the GMD of Dangote Group, Olakunle Alake alongside the Chief Corporate Communications Officer.
Dangote was not the only one who fulfilled his promise as Femi Otedola also redeemed his pledge by paying the $25,000 per goal.
Since the Super Eagles only scored one goal they were only able to secure $75,000 in total, what can we say? Better luck next time boys!
