It was reported yesterday that the President, Muhammadu Buhari submitted a West African School Examination Certificate from Cambridge University through his counsel Wole Olanipekun as evidence that the President indeed took the exam.

In a twist of events the Deputy Registrar of WAEC, Oshindehinde Adewumi has debunked that the Certificate is from the West African Examination Council, the examination body that awards the certificate in question. According to him, the certificate bears the Cambridge Assessment International Certified Statement signage and not WAEC

He, however, claimed that the President indeed sat for 8 subjects getting 5 credits in Oral English, History, Geography, Hausa and Health Science which is contrary to the tendered document as evidence which showed only 6 subjects listed.

The Deputy Registrar who claimed to have worked for the Organisation for 30 years disclosed that this results obtained must have been in conjunction with the University of Cambridge with 18 candidates with President listed as the second person on the list.
