The Crown Prince of Dubai, Mohammed bin Zayad and his estranged sixth wife, Princess Haya of Jordan have begun a two-day hearing expected to address the welfare of their two children.

Princess Haya, the daughter of King Hussein Bin Talal and Queen Alia, reportedly fled the UAE for Germany barely a month ago with her two children requesting asylum by the German authorities while processing her divorce.

The immediate return of the Princess and her children were requested from the German authorities which was turned down by Berlin officials much to the displeasure of the Crown Prince.

The two had a private High Court hearing before Sir Andrew Mc Farlane and recently disclosed the details of their legal proceedings which revealed that the case will only revolve around the children’s welfare and will not involve their finances.

The two are represented by high profile lawyers namely Fiona Shackleton who will be representing Princess Haya and who also coincidentally represented Prince Charles while Helen Ward QC of Stewarts Law will be representing the Sheikh in court.
