Abu Bakarr Kabba banned for 5 years

FIFA has fined Abu Bakarr Kabba the sum of $50,000 and also banned him for 5 years for violating the FIFA code of Ethics.

Abu Bakarr, a former administration secretary and acting general secretary, was found guilty of accepting bribes to manipulate international matches.

The FIFA inquiry was reportedly delayed due to the World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Sierra Leone in 2008. Abu Bakarr is not the only African Referee to have been banned for such issues.
