Sharp division in the House of Representatives as lawmakers engaged each other in a heated debate on the floor of the house over the call for the proscription of the Islamic movement of Nigeria IMN and the escalating Shiite violence witnessed within the federal capital
Some lawmakers were of the opinion that the leader of the group Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who has been detained by the federal government since two thousand and fifteen should be released following a court order and a call to seek medical attention
The house however resolved to set up an Ad-hoc committee to interface with the executive to find a lasting solution to the crisis
