2 Louisiana Police Officers have been fired over posting hate comments about Alexandria Ocasio Cortez that suggested the congresswoman should be shot down.
The 2 officers identified as Charles Rispoli wrote in a post that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is a “vile idiot” who “needs a round…and I don’t mean the kind she used to serve” and his colleague Angelo Varisco who liked he post was equally relieved of his duties at the Gretna Police Station opposite New Orleans.
His outburst came as a reaction to a satirical article featuring Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez which said “We pay soldiers too much” which she clearly never said.
The Gretna Police Chief, Authur Lawson disclosed that the event has caused a huge embarrassment to the department and considering that on further investigation, the news to which they reacted was fake and did not come from the Congresswoman.
“I spoke to him personally just to try to find out why. I just couldn’t understand and I think he just got caught up in the heat of the moment,” he said. “I mean this wasn’t even a real news article.”
In reaction, Ocasio Cortez mentioned that the reaction was a spin-off from President’s Trump aggressive demeanour and it was inevitable to not find citizens who followed in the President’s footsteps
