Three persons have died and 224 others hospitalized following a fresh outbreak of cholera in three local governments in Adamawa State.
The outbreak of cholera is an epidemic governments dread in the rainy season.
Adamawa state is having its fair share with a sharp rise in numbers of persons infected since the disease broke out last month.
The state government and partner agencies like the World Health Organisation, UNICEF, the International Committee of the Red Cross as well as the International Organization for Migration, are now working round the clock to contain the disease.
They have reached out to the affected places in Yola North, Yola South, and Girei.
The Director of Primary Health in the state’s Ministry of Health is grateful to partner agencies for wading in at this critical period.
