Movie Mogul and Ex-Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein has today received approval from a New York Judge to hire new Legal representatives two months before his rape trial.
A little over a year ago, the Hollywood Producer was arrested in cuffs for allegedly raping a woman and coercing another into oral sex with him in July 2006 and March 2013.
Harvey pleaded not guilty to all the charges filed against him at the time and could face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if found guilty. His trial is expected to commence on September 9.
Weinstein’s new lawyers, Donna Rotunno and Damon Cheronis who are both based in Chicago will be the third set of lawyers Harvey will employ.
Harvey’s company, Weinstein Co. fired him and filed for bankruptcy and he was also expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
