Few moments ago, The Supreme Court has affirmed Gboyega Oyetola of the APC as the rightful Governor of Osun State.
The decision overrides the former stance of the Court of Appeal which declared Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the September 2018 Election.
According to the Supreme Court, a majority judgement delivered at the tribunal was nullifiable and that the failure of Mr Obiora to show up meant that the tribunal did not have the justification to deliver judgement on the issue.
It has indeed been a long tumultuous process for the two contending governors of Osun State. Since the election, there has been so much back and forth with Senator Adeleke having to battle his WAEC results saga on the side.
