Leeds United coach, Carlos Corberan, will reportedly stay at Elland Road – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have expressed their joy to the speculation.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 36-year-old is going to stay with the Whites despite interest from Cultural Leonesa in filling their vacant managerial position.
The report details that the Spanish third-tier side wanted to appoint him, but he’s highly rated by Leeds and an important part of the staff.
Corberan helped Leeds’ Under-23s side win the Professional Development League last season and has a key role as part of the backroom staff under senior boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Many feel that he could be a natural successor to Bielsa eventually as the next Whites boss and it looks like he will be staying around next season.
A selection of Leeds fans are delighted to hear the reports on Corberan and a lot of eyes will be on him to see how his managerial career progresses.
Meanwhile, Bielsa will be in charge once again next campaign and looking to get the club over the line in their pursuit of promotion from the Championship.
