Manchester United forward, Romelu Lukaku, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte is looking to overhaul Inter’s squad after taking over from Luciano Spalletti at the San Siro and has identified Lukaku, 26, as his priority transfer target this summer.

Lukaku failed to win Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s trust at Old Trafford and United are prepared to let the Belgian leave for £62million despite signing him for a fee of £75m just two years ago.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku and Inter have agreed to a deal over personal terms which could see the former Everton star earn £6.6m in bonuses until 2024.

However, the Serie A giants are yet to reach an agreement with the Red Devils over Lukaku’s price, with the Premier League giants holding out for an offer of £62m.

Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first season at United under Jose Mourinho, but only netted 15 times last term and lost his place to Marcus Rashford as Solskjaer’s lead striker towards the end of the campaign.

The Belgium international has hinted at a switch to Inter by branding Antonio Conte the ‘best manager in the world’. ‘

It’s good to see Conte joined Inter, for me he is the best manager in the world,’ he told Premium Sport.

‘I’ve already taken a decision about the future but I can’t reveal it because I have a contract with Manchester United and because I respect the club.’
