Golden State Warriors All-Star guard, Kevin Durant has undergone successful surgery on his ruptured right Achilles tendon.
The 30-year old sustained the injury during the second quarter of the Warriors Game 5 win over Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.
Kevin Durant revealed through his social media platform that he had undergone successful surgery on Wednesday in New York. He will be out of action for the next 12 months.
Durant’s injury woes are in the midst of uncertainty regards his future – he can take his $31.5m player option for the 2019-20 season with the Golden State Warriors or test free agency this offseason or wait and try free agency next summer.
