Paulo Fonseca appointed Roma head coach

Roma have announced the appointment of Paulo Fonseca as their new head coach on a two-year deal.

Fonseca was the coach of Shakhtar Donetsk, where he won the league and cup double in all of his three seasons in charge, as well as the Ukrainian Super Cup in 2017.

The 46-year old replaces veteran manager, Claudio Ranieri, whose second stint at Roma ended with a sixth-place finish in the Italian Serie A.
