Athletics South Africa have included Caster Semenya in their preliminary team for this summer’s World Athletics Championship.

The inclusion of Semenya to the team is subject to the outcome of the IAAF’s appeal against the Swiss Federal Tribunal ruling that suspended the implementation of the body’s regulation-limiting testosterone levels in female runners.

The double Olympic champion had appealed against the CAS verdict at the Swiss Federal Tribunal and won, which means she can continue to compete in the 800m without taking hormone-suppressing medications.

The World Athletics Championships is slated to run from September 27th to the 6th of October in the Qatari capital.
