Sokoto State Government has constituted a committee to review the salaries of traditional rulers in the state.
Making this known within the week when Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, made a traditional Sallah visit to the Governor, Aminu Tambuwal said he is committed to making traditional leaders contented in their respective domains.
The Governor, while assuring of his continued respect for the traditional institutions, further thanked Sultan of Sokoto for his effective, all-inclusive leadership style.
Tambuwal, according to a statement by Aminu Abdullahi, the Director, Press, Deputy Governor’s Office, also expressed gratitude to the district heads, communities as well as religious leaders for their support to his administration since inception.
