If anyone should be giving business advice now, it should be none other than Jeff Bezos the current world’s richest man.
In a Press conference at Amazon’s Re:Mars conference yesterday in Las Vegas, the business mogul and CEO of Amazon has just one advice to start up enthusiasts and this is it – Be ready to take big risks and fail!
In a world that stereotypes failure, it appears the most successful people owe their successes to nothing else but failure.
According to Bezos, in his own words according to an Amazon Transcript;
“Take risk. You have to be willing to take risk. If you have a business idea with no risk, it’s probably already being done,” “You’ve got to have something that might not work. It will be, in many ways, an experiment. Many of those experiments will fail, but big failures are a necessary part of the journey towards success”
Need more advice, he also iterated that there’s something else you’ll be needing and that is Passion, because you will be competing with passionate people.
What’s more he believes the most important thing is to be customer-obsessed!
That’s a $860 billion worth of advice!
