Amidst threats of Tariffs, Trade Wars and Huawei’s legal battles, China has remained undistracted in launching their 5G network.
As of now, China’s three state-owned wireless carriers have been granted licenses for full commercial deployment according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The technology is also being tested in several cities including Beijing and Shenzhen.
The effort is in a bid to boost local companies currently making a headway wih autonomous driving, robotics, VR and remote surveillance.
It seems pretty much like good news but not so much for U.S President Donald Trump who has expressed his displeasure of China beating the United States to it and even boycotted the use of Huawei products in the states.
