Leeds United have confirmed that manager Marcelo Bielsa will remain at the helm of the club’s coaching affairs for next season following their failure to qualify for the Premier League.
When Bielsa signed a two-year deal with the Whites in 2018, Leeds held the right to terminate or extend his deal after a year in charge.
The club has now exercised the option to extend his stay at Elland Road, having led the club to their highest Championship points tally since dropping out of the Premier League.
The Argentine’s young squad finished third in the Championship last season, before losing to Derby County in the play-off semi-final.
