Court of Arbitration for Sport dismisses Caster Semeya’s testosterone levels appeal

Caster Semenya is scheduled to run 3000 metres at the Diamond League Prefontaine without having to lower her testosterone levels as maintained under the new IAAF rules.

This will be the first time Semenya will race since the ruling supporting women with excessive male hormones use suppressants to be allowed to compete within 400m and a mile.

The Prefontaine Classic director Tom Jordan seemed happy to offer Semenya the opportunity to race in the 3000m race considering she was an amateur compared to the likes of Hellen Obiri, Sifan Hassan and Genzebe Dibaba, all champions in their own right.

According to Tom Jordan, he’s more than curious to see how Semenya will perform under those circumstances with the world’s best distance runners.
