President Trump has finally revealed the reason behind the sudden hike in tariffs recently imposed on China.
On Wednesday, the U.S President while speaking at a Rally in Florida said that China broke the deal in the ongoing trade talks and as a result will have to pay for it.
That’s not all, there are clear indications that all is not clear as Trump has suggested plans to further increase the American Levies on Chinese Goods yet again.
Read his statement in part below:
“By the way, you see the tariffs we’re doing? Because they broke the deal. They broke the deal,” Trump said. “So they’re flying in, the vice premier tomorrow is flying in — good man — but they broke the deal. They can’t do that, so they’ll be paying.”
China is not taking this sitting, despite Trumps claims that the Vice Premier is making a trip to the U.S on the matter, there are reasons to believe that Beijing will retaliate if the tariffs are raised from 10% – 25% on $200 billion worth of Chinese Goods.
The Trade War between the United States and China has been on for over a year now and it seemed that just recently an agreement was to be reached before this new development.
