Omokri mocks Buhari over comments on IGP

Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari’s comments about the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

Omokri also revealed why the All Progressives Congress, APC, refused Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode ticket for second tenure.

Buhari was asked about security challenges across Nigeria and if there would be a different approach in tackling the issue after his arrival from his 10-day private visit to the United Kingdom.

“I have just seen the IG, I think he’s losing weight, so I think he is working very hard,” the president replied.

Reacting, in a tweet on Monday, Omokri said: “Chief of Army Staff, Buratai, must not be working, since he is not losing weight. I now see why @MBuhari supported the skeletal Oshiomhole as @OfficialAPCNg Chairman.

“No wonder APC did not give its ticket to @AkinwunmiAmbode. His fatness showed that he is not working #RenosDarts.”
