Celtic's James Forrest named PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year

Celtic winger James Forrest has been named the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year.

Forrest beat off competitions from his team-mate Callum McGregor and Rangers duo of Ryan Kent and Alfredo to claim the biggest prize of the night at the PFA Scotland annual awards.

James Forrest scored 11 goals and assisted nine goals as he led Celtic to an eighth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

Kilmarnock’s Steve Clarke won the Manager of the Year award following his team’s club record points tally in the Scottish Premiership while the Young Player of the Year award went to Rangers winger, Kent.
