Europa league semi-finals: Chelsea, Arsenal gain first-leg advantage

Chelsea’s Pedro scored a precious away goal, as the Blues came back from a goal deficit to secure a 1-1 draw against Frankfurt.

The draw means that Chelsea is the first team to go 16 successive Europa League matches without defeat.

Meanwhile, Arsenal staged a remarkable comeback from a goal down to defeat Valencia by 3 goals to 1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Alexander Lacazette’s brace means the Gunners go into the reverse fixture with a two-goal cushion.

The second leg of both matches will be played on the 9th of May.
