Uganda’s pop star and lawmaker Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has set a record of being tried in court via a video conference call.
Political watchers say this is the first time this measure would be applied in the country’s judicial system.
Bobi Wine’s bail hearing was conducted with him in a dock at the Luzira Maximum Security Prisons with a video conference call put through to the Buganda Road courts.
Bobi wine was arrested for escaping a house arrest.
