The Comp. General Muhammad Babandede listed out the advantages of the new passport including a self-tracking application, express centres for urgent applications and compliance with the latest International Civil Aviation Organisation standard and also integrated with NIN.

The Comp. General has however warned that there is no need for Nigerians to rush to the Embassies for the new document as the new passport will run concurrently with the former one in circulation. Also, that payment should be made either online or directly to banks located within the Passport Offices only.
